Timothy Gelder, CPA, MBA

Tim is a Financial Executive with a strong manufacturing background and a proven track record of maximizing value, managing risk and maintaining a sound balance sheet. He is knowledgeable and experienced in strategic planning, corporate accounting, finance, purchasing, human resources, cash management and investor relations.

Prior to forming Gelder & Company, LLP in 2011 Tim spent 17 years as Manager, Controller and finally as CFO at Barden & Robeson, a multi-million dollar manufacturer of custom homes in the northeast. During his tenure there he worked hands on with generating and closing financial reports and analyzing the data to better manage the business. Most recently, Tim worked as Controller at North American Carbide, a manufacturer of carbide and ceramic cutting inserts. Tim continues to perform the Controller duties at North American Carbide as a client of Gelder & Company, LLP. Tim spent his early career with the “Big Four” accounting firm Ernst & Young, LLP. He is a CPA (Certified Public Accountant). Tim earned an MBA from the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Management from St. Bonaventure University.

 

Denise  K. Schaefer, CPA

Denise is a driven, focused change agent with over 15 years of work in not for profit industries. Her ability to control and impact operations are on par with the exceptional skill she brings to the financial and accounting side of a business. She is at home establishing systems that maximize internal resources by creating efficiencies by streamlining and organizing the financial control function. Her attention to creating and implementing these changes is done by understanding what’s happening and “why”. Her common focus is on things that translate into improved reporting and cost savings. Cost reduction and control over cash flow have been key areas of focus and results along with financial reporting, budgeting and analysis.

Most recently, Denise served as Director of Finance for three years with Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo, a $4 million not for profit agency with 16 locations in Buffalo, Amherst and Cheektowaga. In this position she was able to create efficiencies and provide better reporting by effectively utilizing the existing accounting software of the agency. Her career also includes work with a mortgage banking company and public accounting experience with not for profit organizations. Denise earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Canisius College and is a member of the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

 

Dan   Donaldson, MBA

Dan is a business professional having managed a mult-million dollar company with 23 Manufacturer's Rep groups, three Corporate Sales Managers, and three permanent showrooms in NY and Chicago. He has a broad range of experience in all phases of management and operations. He has 24+ years of experience in sales and marketing. He worked with a design team to develop new products and to put those award-winning designs into production. Operationally, he managed two factories, two separate unions and 170+ employees. Customers included Fortune 500 companies sold through specifications by major architects and designers.

Most recently, Dan was the CFO of a skilled nursing home complex that included three facilities with a total of 440 beds. Daily activities included weekly payrolls, cash management, bank reconciliations and contract negotiations. Oversight included the preparation of all Financial Reports, Resident Trust Accounts, 401K Plans, Insurances, Taxes, and various Federal and State medical Financial Reports. As the Chief Compliance Officer, he initiated and installed Compliance programs in all facilities. He is a currently an active member of HFMA (the Healthcare Financial Management Association) and HCCA (the Health Care Compliance Association).

Dan has an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth and an AB in Economics from Middlebury College.
